Steenderen, Gelderland – Rometron, developer of the precision spraying system WEED-IT, proudly announces the first installation of a WEED-IT system in the Netherlands. At arable farmer Speelman in Eerste Exloërmond, in collaboration with Kamps de Wild, an AMAZONE UX field sprayer has been equipped with the advanced PWFM-based WEED-IT AQRATE system.
The origins of WEED-IT lie in the Netherlands, where founder Roel de Jonge began combating weeds in public spaces. However, the innovative technology proved even more applicable in agriculture, particularly in countries with vast fields such as Australia, South Africa, Canada, the United States, and South America. There, the systems deliver significant savings on crop protection products, which is beneficial for farmers’ finances, the environment, and the soil—leading to better crop growth in the following season.
After years of international growth, WEED-IT now returns to Dutch agriculture. With the introduction of WEED-IT AQRATE, the system has also become a valuable addition here.
The WEED-IT AQRATE is equipped with PWFM technology (Pulse Width Frequency Modulation), which guarantees constant working pressure and droplet size. This ensures optimal crop coverage and enables extremely precise application of crop protection products, based on task maps.

The first Dutch system was delivered to Speelman in Eerste Exloërmond, an arable farmer known for his progressive approach. In collaboration with Kamps de Wild, distributor of, among others, CLAAS and AMAZONE, the new 45-meter Amazone UX7601 field sprayer was fitted with WEED-IT AQRATE.
Speelman actively contributes with his feedback to further development, allowing Rometron to continuously raise the quality of its products.

The WEED-IT AQRATE system is offered in the Netherlands via Kamps de Wild for installation on AMAZONE sprayers. In addition, the system is suitable for integration on virtually any sprayer, new or existing. This makes precision spraying technology accessible to a broad group of farmers, regardless of the brand or type of field sprayer they use. This wide applicability enables arable farmers and contractors to benefit from PWFM technology and task map-driven applications within their existing operations. Thus, growers can invest in sustainable crop protection without having to fully replace their current sprayer.
