Rometron has appointed Agrometius as distributor of WEED-IT precision spraying technology for the Benelux and Germany. The partnership will take effect from xx 2026 and includes the WEED-IT QUADRO (weed detection) and WEED-IT AQRATE (PWM technology) systems. With this step, Rometron aims to further strengthen the availability and support of WEED-IT in Western Europe.
The current generation of WEED-IT products is suitable for spot spraying applications with boom widths of up to 48 metres. The technology has been used for more than fifteen years in countries such as Australia and across North and South America. Rometron now sees strong opportunities in Western Europe as well, driven by the need for more precise input use and cost control under diverse crop and weather conditions.
WEED-IT uses sensors to detect weeds and spray only where needed. This enables site-specific weed control in crops such as sugar beet, onions and maize. In combination with task maps at a 25 x 25 cm level, growers and contractors can further optimise input use. In addition, the integrated PWM technology can be used to improve the accuracy and consistency of broadcast spraying applications.
For Agrometius, WEED-IT represents a strategic expansion of its precision agriculture portfolio. As crop protection products are being phased out and pressure on profitability increases, the demand for intelligent, data-driven spraying technology continues to grow.

Since 2025, Rometron has been working in the Netherlands with Kamps de Wild, importer of Amazone sprayers, where WEED-IT is offered as an option. This collaboration will continue within the new distribution structure with Agrometius.
